DESCRIPTION:Please join the Council for Working Women\n\nfor our June Luncheon at the\n\nClarion Hotel Joliet Banquet & Convention Center\n\n411 N Larkin\, Joliet IL\n\nJune 2\, 2022\n\n11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.\n\n\n\nSpeaker: Katherine Helm\, PHD Professor of Psychology & Director of Graduate Programs\n\n\n\nThis month's topic will be: Emotional Intelligence in Leadership & Interpersonal Relationships\n\nEmotional intelligence is a key part of being a successful leader.  These skills are also important in our interpersonal relationships.  This presentation will explore emotional intelligence and ways participants can increase their emotional intelligence.\n\n \n\n\n\n\n Speaker Bio:\n\nKatherine Helm\, PhD is a Professor of Psychology and Director of Graduate Programs in Counseling at Lewis University\, Romeoville\, IL.  She is also a practicing psychologist in part-time private where she sees individuals and couples.  Katherine has authored several publications about racial and cultural issues in mental health\, couples' issues\, and pedagogy in multicultural courses and has an extensive background facilitating counselor trainings.  Katherine has had several media appearances on radio and video.  She is a sought-after author\, presenter\, public speaker\, professional trainer\, and clinical supervisor. \n\n\n\n\n\n**JUNE GIVING BACK**\n\nPLEASE BRING ITEMS TO THE LUNCHEON\n\n\n\nGIVING BACK : We will be collecting items for the Will County Human Society in May and June.  Please see the attached list for items they need.\n\nAs Will County's original no-kill shelter\, serving the area for over 40 years with a single purpose\, provide a safe haven for homeless pets and help them find their forever home.\n\nEvery day of the year Will County Humane Society cares for up to 30 homeless dogs and 60 cats looking for their forever homes.  They provide for their general health care\, shelter and well being through their network of volunteers and resources.  Will County Humane society is a private shelter 501(3)(c) not-for-profit that receives no federal or local government dollars to run their facility and care for pets.
