Karl Maurer is a Senior Vice President at Merrill Lynch helping clients achieve their investment goals with sound retirement planning, tax efficiency and high quality investments. He attended University of Illinois in Champaign IL and holds an MBA in Finance from DePaul University. He has been a member of the Illinois CPA Society since 1984. and is Series 7 and Series 66 licensed. Karl is a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®), Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA) and a Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA), the later oriented toward helping business owners navigate growth and succession. He has served numerous local and national charities as a volunteer and board member with a focus on strategic planning and financial management. In 2021 he was named Philanthropist of the Year by the West Suburban Philanthropic Network. He has also received the David Brady and Brian Schwarz awards for his philanthropy work from Merrill Lynch.
