John Curran Joins Castle Law

Castle Law is pleased to announce the addition of John Curran as Partner to
the legal practice. As part of the Castle Law Team, John will lead the firm’s Employment Practice
with a focus on Employment Litigation, Labor Management Relations, Employment Counseling
and Transactions, Employment Policies and Employment Agreements.
John will also continue to utilize his legal training to improve Illinois public policy as State
Senator for the 41st District in Illinois. Since joining the Illinois State Senate in 2017, John has risen
through the ranks and recently was unanimously voted to lead his fellow senators as the Illinois
Senate Minority Leader.
Prior to joining the Illinois General Assembly, John served on the DuPage County Board for nine
years as a member, including the last seven years as the Vice-Chairman.
John recently spent the last five years Of Counsel at Power and Cronin, where he focused on
Labor and Employment Law, Workers’ Compensation, Municipal and Zoning. Along with his
private sector successes, John brings vast litigation expertise gained from working for nineteen
years as an Assistant State's Attorney in the Cook County State's Attorney's Office, having served
for seven years as the Chief of the Special Litigation Division which encompassed the Labor &
Employment, Torts & Civil Rights and Municipal Litigation Units in the Civil Actions Bureau.

John holds a Juris Doctor Degree from Northern Illinois University College of Law and Bachelor of
Science Degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he played four years
of varsity football for the Illini.
John lives in Downers Grove with his wife and four daughters.
