2018 Springfield Drive-Down May 9th

The Joliet Region Chamber of Commerce & Industry, along with their Legislative Committee, invite you to attend the Springfield Drive-Down on May 9th. Our Drive-Down will begin with a luncheon, followed by a briefing, legislative meetings, reception and dinner. The cost is $135.00 per person, which includes everything EXCEPT YOUR HOTEL RESERVATION. You are responsible for making your hotel reservations if you wish to stay overnight.

The Legislative Committee has decided they would like to stay downtown this year. The two hotels available are Wyndham City Center, 700 East Adams (217)-789-1530 and Abraham Lincoln Hotel, 701 East Adams (217)-544-8800. We are not asking for a block, as the online prices are the same on various sites. 

Issues to be covered include: Budget, Transportation, Tax Issues, Education, Healthcare, Pensions, Workers' Comp.

Preliminary Agenda:

• Meet at Maldaner's Restaurant (222 S. 6th Street) at 11:00 AM for lunch (lunch begins at 11:30 AM)
• Briefing at 12:00 PM at Maldaner's Restaurant
• Legislative Meetings at 1:00 PM in State Capitol Building
• Reception at Saputo's (801 E. Monroe Street) with Legislators at 5:30 PM
• Dinner at Saputo's with Legislators at 6:30 PM
