2021 CWW Lunch Aug 5th, 2021 "Be Inspired. Be Empowered. Practice Self-care" with Dr. Kristi Kelly
Please join the Council for Working Women for our August 5th Luncheon
hosted at Syl's Chop House
Speaker: Dr. Kristi Kelly,
Vice President for Diversity and Associate Provost for
Student Engagement, Equity and Inclusion at Lewis University
This month's topic will be:
"Be inspired. Be empowered. Practice Self-care"
Sometimes easier said than done, right? For this reason, CWW invites you to join a discussion for and about women that aims to help us obtain inspiration and sustain self-empowerment. An exploration of what is meant by “self-care” will also take place in hopes of contributing to an overall fulfilled professional (and personal) life.
*This quarter we are giving back to Cornerstone Services. If you would like to participate, you can bring items to the luncheon

About Cornerstone
Since 1969, Cornerstone Services has been a leader in providing services to help people with disabilities to live and work in the community. The agency assists over 1,200 people in Will and Kankakee Counties, with a focus on four service areas: residential, employment, behavioral health, and community day programs. Cornerstone staff help people find stability with a safe home, earn a paycheck with a new job, receive the therapy and medical services they need, or get active with many unique activities amongst friends old and new.
As a not-for-profit organization, Cornerstone appreciates tremendous support from the community. The agency is frequently in need of supplies for its many programs--including a robust art studio—and gift cards for community activities that individuals who receive services can enjoy together, such as movie theatres and restaurants. Cornerstone maintains an Amazon Wish List, where supporters can purchase supplies and gift cards that will be shipped directly to the agency and quickly put to good use.
The CWW is making a huge impact in the local community with our generous donations to helping others.
Thank you!
