Speakers: Ed & Gloria Dollinger
About Ed: Ed Dollinger grew up on a grain and livestock farm. He attended Joliet Catholic High School and graduated in 1981. He graduated from University of Illinois in 1985 and opened the first Edward Jones Investments office in Joliet in 1986. Ed is in his 39th year of business. He has served as a Regional Leader, a Senior Regional Leader, and as a consultant in Advanced Branch Team Performance for the top 200 branch teams in the firm.
Ed has attended his firm's Managing Partner's Conference for 30 years and is one of the top 100 out of 19,000 Financial Advisors at Edward Jones. Ed recently ranked #25 in the Forbes Best in State Wealth Advisors in Illinois.
Ed is involved with many charitable and community boards: Will County Center for Economic Development, Member and Past Chair; Diocese of Joliet Finance Council, Past Chair; Joliet Catholic Academy, Development Committee Member and Capital Campaign Co-Chair; Saint Joseph Medical Center of Joliet, Community Leadership Board Chair; Community Foundation of Will County, Founding Member; YMCA Investment Committee, Past Member; St. Paul the Apostle Church, Member and Capital Campaign past Chair; Joliet Rotary Club, Member and Past President, University of St. Francis, Past Trustee, to name a few. Recently, Ed was inducted into the Project Acclaim of Joliet/Will County and recognized by the Rainbow Council of Boy Scouts of America for his community involvement. He most recently received the Frank Turk Business and Community Achievement Award from Will County Center for Economic Development.
Ed and his wife, Gloria, have three married children, Matt, Casey, and Nathan, and one grandchild, Mariah.
About Gloria: Gloria grew up in Aurora, IL and attended Rosary High School in Aurora.
Gloria graduated from the University of Illinois in Champaign/Urbana in 1985 with a degree in Health and Safety Studies. She then attended the University of Illinois at Chicago to obtain her Nutrition and Medical Dietetics degree. Gloria is a Registered Dietitian and NASM Certified Personal Trainer. After marrying Ed Dollinger in 1986, she moved to Joliet. Early in her career, she worked at St. Joseph Medical Center as an Outpatient Dietitian and taught Prenatal Exercise Classes at night. Currently, she is the Nutrition Supervisor at the Inwood Athletic Club.
While raising three children, Matthew, Casey, and Nathan, Gloria became involved in local organizations, such as Joliet Junior Women's Club, Women of Rotary Club, St. Paul the Apostle School Board, St. Joseph Medical Center Foundation, Joliet Catholic Academy Parent Association, and Big Brothers Big Sisters Mentor 2.0 program.
In 2016, Gloria was elected to the Will County Board for District 10, where she served on the Finance, Capitol, Judicial, and Public Health Committees. She was very involved in planning and oversight of the construction of the new Will County Courthouse. Gloria was a Will County Forest Preserve Commissioner and helped solidify plans for the walking bridge over Highway 55 on Black Road.
Currently, Gloria serves on the Joliet Area Historical Museum Board, the St. Joseph Medical Center Auxiliary, and the Joliet Rotary Club Board. She enjoys working with her nutrition and fitness clients, and spending time with her growing family.
