Dokken and LIta Ford at the Rialto Square Theatre

Dokken exploded out of the boiling hard rock/heavy metal scene in Los Angeles in the early 1980s. Their breakout hit album, Breaking the Chains, set the stage for Dokken to become one of the most dominant creative and commercial force in the world of melodic hard rock. Such classic albums as Tooth and Nail, Under Lock and Key and Back for the Attack all became multi-platinum selling albums, and the live album, Beast from the East went gold in Europe and Japan. Songs like “Alone Again,” “Just Got Lucky,” “Into the Fire,” “In My Dreams,” “Unchain the Night,” and “Heaven Sent” are still considered some of hard rock’s finest.

A British born rocker who grew up on the streets of L.A., Lita Ford is considered one of the most influential female representatives of the rock genre. She was a founding member of The Runaways, one of the first girl groups who broke down the gender barriers of the punk era, as well as the male-dominated world of rock music.

Following the demise of The Runaways, Lita concentrated on her own career as she looked back on her many memorable hits including the chart topping duet with Ozzy Osbourne “Close Your Eyes Forever,” as well as “What Do You Know About Love,” “Shot Of Poison,” “Larger Than Life” and “Kiss Me Deadly.”
