Military History Weekend Featuring the Civil War, World War I, World War II and Vietnam to be Re-enacted in Lockport's Dellwood Park
 

The Lockport Township Park District is hosting the area’s largest Military History Weekend event on Sat., Sept. 7th and Sun., Sept. 8th in Dellwood Park, 199 E. Woods Dr. in Lockport, Illinois beginning at 9:30 a.m. on both days. This annual event features encampments and battles
from the Civil War, World War I, World War II and Vietnam!

All veterans are welcome to enjoy free food and beverages from 11:30am-1:30pm in our Veteran Hospitality Tent on both days. The Veterans’ Tent is sponsored by the Lockport VFW Post 5788 and AARP.

Visitors will also experience the following:
- Re-enactments of the Civil War, WWI, WWII and Vietnam encampments and battles
- Pyrotechnics sponsored by Heidelberg Materials
- Military vehicles, uniform and equipment from the different periods
- Photo ops
- Rockford Peaches Baseball Game
- Free USO Concert: Silver Bullet Saint Louis at 8pm
- Music lessons of the era
- Concessions & Beer Bunker
- WWII memorabilia and vendors
- Hospitality Tent for Veterans
- Vietnam and Civil War Living History

jazz, R&B, soul, rock and funk
6:00 p.m. Bridge Skirmish (West of Footbridge)

8:00 p.m. USO Show featuring Silver Bullet – Bob Segar Tribute Band
10:30 p.m. Park closes
